YOGA is a wonderful way to improve mobility, strength, flexibility, balance, posture and to help to relive chronic pain in a safe
and nurturing environment. It is important to release tight holding patterns due to chronic pain. Yoga can help reduce neuro-muscular pain and symptoms related to chronically-tight muscles and will also add greater body awareness in proper standing, sitting and reclining positions. Strong healthy muscles are rarely problematic. All Yoga classes at YOGAUTOPIA are appropriate for all, beginners and all ages, modifications are always given except for POWER/STRETCH for this class we recommend you have experience. We have all the props you may need but you are encourage to bring your own mat, we do have mats you can borough but please wipe them off at the end of class (wipes are provided) and please bring your own water bottle and a smile. Welcome Home!

HATHA YOGA
HATHA YOGA is the most widely practiced form of yoga in America. It is the branch of yoga which concentrates on physical health and mental well-being. Hatha yoga uses bodily postures (asanas) with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind. There are nearly 200 hatha yoga postures, with hundreds of variations, which work to make the spine supple and to promote circulation in all the organs, glands, and tissues. Hatha yoga postures also stretch and align the body, promoting balance and flexibility. All are welcome!

GENTLE BLISS
GENTLE BLISS is a very slow, fluid, somatic practice and is very therapeutic in nature. We experience the use of very slow mindful repetition synchronized with the breath thus this practice resembles a moving meditation. We slowly move into and out of poses, mostly reclining on the floor often with closed eyes. Through out the class we relax and release into a passive position allowing gravity to gently assist in unraveling and releasing habitual holding patterns using props when needed. The bodies natural ability to heal mostly occurs in a completely restful state, therefore, periodically throughout the class there is a focus on "letting go". There are many health benefits of this practice including lowering blood pressure and helping with anxiety. This class is appropriate for all ages regardless of physical limitations as modifications are always given. We have all the props you may need but you are encouraged to bring your own mat and water. We do have mats for you to use but would appreciate you wiping them off at the end of class. All are welcome!

SLOW FLOW by donation Fridays 9:30-11:00am
SLOW FLOW is a slow flow class with diligence to alignment. You will be guided through each pose slowly and mindfully. As we move through more traditional poses we build a stronger body while releasing tension and flow your way into a more blissful state! This class is suitable for beginners with little yoga experience as modifications are always given yet the most experience yoga practitioner will find this class of great valuable. When we take our time, our nervous systems relax, our minds slow down, our muscles become supple, our breath deepens – our inner chemistry shifts towards a biological balance, which one experiences as peace, tranquility and stress reduction. In this class, you will learn to honor and work with your individuality,
experiencing for yourself the union of your mind and body. You will leave this class feeling stronger, taller and more at peace. All are welcome!
